Our Team
Richard Beaton – Chairman
Richard sold his first business, Imasys, to Capita in 1997. Since then, he has successfully grown and sold a wider variety of software and technology businesses, the latest being the sale of cyber security software business, Deep Secure in August 2021.
As Chairman of MonacoSol, Richard brings a lifetime of experience building software companies to our partners and founders. He has experienced many of the challenges that our founders and management teams are facing, and his advice and guidance help teams quickly understand what they need to achieve and implement to grow.
Ollie Beaton – CEO
Ollie has over 15 years of sales and leadership experience in the technology industry. After his first successful exit as Commercial Director of Sleek Networks, Ollie led an MBI of Secura Hosting Ltd in 2014.
Ollie and the management team built the business from a £500,000 valuation to its sale to Node4 in 2019, ultimately leaving the business following the transition period in 2021. As CEO of MonacoSol, Ollie is actively supporting the growth journey of our founders and management teams.
Eddie Beaton – CFO
Eddie Beaton is a qualified chartered accountant, completing his training in private sector audit as part of the corporate finance team at Grant Thornton LLP, where he specialised in buy-side due diligence.
In 2014, Ed joined Ollie as part of the MBI of Secura, steering the company to a sale in 2019, leaving the business to become CFO of MonacoSol in 2021. Eddie now oversees financial due diligence for Monaco Solutions and offers his extensive corporate finance expertise and guidance to our partner founders and management teams.
Oli Chambers – Group Finance Director
Oli brings a wealth of experience across a broad range of industry sectors, leading finance functions in insurance, housing development and private equity businesses.
Oli uses his experience to support the long-term strategic objectives of our investment partners and support robust financial practice across all group businesses to help support growth with robust financial processes and practices.
Dan Nichols - Technical Director
Dan is an experienced IT and technology leader, helping to build three successful tech companies and serving in technical leadership roles before helping to guide WebContractor to a successful exit as CEO.
Dan uses his extensive IT and technical pre-sales experience to help support the technology development and strategic roadmaps of businesses in the MonacoSol group.
George Davies - M&A Advisor
George has been at the forefront of business services and software for over 30 years, with successful tenures leading large B2B services and software businesses and building and scaling highly profitable B2B SME businesses.
George’s ability and practical experience leveraging people, processes, and technology to find and deliver business innovation make him an ideal fit for the MonacoSol team, and he now uses his considerable knowledge to advise the group on potential acquisitions and mergers.
